The Drug and Alcohol Evaluation is a preliminary diagnosis of an individual's chemical abuse and/or dependency, if appropriate, and recommendations for treatment modalities which may be indicated to address specific needs. This service is often used as a referral or disposition resource by the Courts, Family Services, schools and other third parties. Recommendations may include addiction treatment, if warranted, or referrals to physical and mental health practitioners, family counselors, or other helping professionals.
